Schaffner facilitates digital design

Digital product data for common CAE systems like Zuken e3.series, EPLAN, NX Electrical, Automation Designer or AutoCAD Electrical

Schaffner EMV AG now offers product developers valuable support in implementing their digitization strategy: Product information, such as component data for electrical planning in addition to data for mechanical engineering is now available in a new digital product catalogue.

New: Over 150 CAD formats available

Until now, mechanical 3D data was available in form of the STEP exchange format. For 70 product families, 3D CAD data is now available in their original 3D formats. Without any further conversion, data can be imported into AutoCAD, Catia, Creo Elements, Inventor, NX, SolidEdge, amongst others.

New: Computer Aided Engineering formats

The requirements for Computer Aided Engineering for mechanical engineering differ significantly from those for cabinet planning. The 3D outer dimensions of a component play an important role in mechanical design, whereas electrical engineers need information about connections, cables, mounting points, terminals, etc.). The part must contain information on how to dimension the installed components correctly or which connectors are compatible with each other. If this information is not provided with the digital CAD model, electrical engineers must collect it manually from various sources, which is time-consuming.

CAE data for the electrical planning of a project, is now available in multiple formats. (Zuken e3.series, EPLAN, NX Electrical Routing, Siemens Automation Designer, AutoCAD Electrical, ECLASS ADVANCED and WSCAD). In collaboration with the Cadenas GmbH the data is provided on the partcommunity platform. For downloads a registration is necessary.

There is something for everyone: Choose from 150 different formats:
