Mechanical Design Engineer

To strengthen our team at the office in () we are looking for a/an
Mechanical Design Engineer

Your tasks

  • Mechanical design of EV’s powertrain components
  • Integration of electrical components into a mechanical assembly
  • Design for manufacturing (DFM) of complex parts – injected plastic, over-molding, bended sheet metal parts, die-casted aluminum parts, ferromagnetic materials.
  • Design for quality
  • Interactive solution finding with the customer and with suppliers (simultaneous engineering)
  • Support DFMEA
  • Mechanical stress analysis of new and existing parts via simulation and/or experimental test
  • Evaluation and problem solving of the typical Automotive stress’ related failures – vibration and thermal shock tests
  • Coordination and execution of the design transfer from R&D to production center

Your profile

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • 3 years' experience using 3D software producing technical drawings (preferable but not mandatory in CATIA V5)
  • Previous work experience in the Automotive or Aerospace industry
  • Familiarity with PLM/ERP
  • Proven experience in mechanical stress analysis
  • Experience with electrical/electronic assemblies is a plus
  • Understanding of various materials, manufacturing processes as well as associated process limitations
  • Understanding of in-process quality control and end-of-line testing
  • Engineering documentation skills (e.g. BOMs, design history, revision control)
  • Able to problem solve, working accurately & methodically, often under pressure due to tight deadlines
  • Flexible, enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative
  • Clear and concise communicator with excellent coordination, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English

What we offer
