Head of Sales and Business Development

To strengthen our team at the headquarter in Luterbach (Switzerland) we are looking for you.

Your tasks

As Head of Sales and Business Development, you will:


  • Strengthen & Grow - market position by identifying, developing and solidifying business relationships.
  • Establish & Sustain - relationships with current and new customers by exploring and promoting new and existing applications.
  • Hunt & Win - new business, significantly increase business volume by identifying, negotiating, and closing business opportunities.
  • Strategise & Visioning - analyze market strategies, business requirements and financial data to develop business cases. Define Visions & Missions and create short- and long-term strategic roadmaps for of our technologies and products.
  • Advocate & Influence - close new contracts by coordinating and leading negotiations and solutions.
  • Improve & Expand - Translate market feedback into product requirements. Be part of a global team of experts that finds the best solutions for our customers and develops new concepts, innovations and new technologies that influence our product and application plans.
  • Lead & Represent: provide sound leadership and guidance to the sales team. Act as a spokesperson and strong link between Schaffner Automotive and its internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile

  • University degree in engineering, ideally with an additional qualification in business and/or marketing.
  • Extensive professional experience in a comparable position in the automotive industry.
  • Sound knowledge of electric powertrains.
  • Solid network across automotive/technology clients and leadership.
  • Strong negotiation skills and extensive knowledge in automotive cost calculation.
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly, while maintaining organization and control.
  • Relentless hands-on problem-solver, unafraid of challenging the status quo.
  • Very good written and spoken English (German and other languages an advantage).
  • Willingness to travel (worldwide).
