

Your Position
As Sales & Application Engineer for our Power Quality solutions, you are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, as well as facilitating proactive discussions on technical strategy for future technology.
Our Sales & Application Engineer is a key point of contact for clients in the EMEA countries and provides both pre and after-sales advice & support. As a technical expert, you can dive deeper into the technical requirements and capabilities to successfully meet the expectations of potential and existing clients. You liaise regularly with other members of the sales team/management and colleagues from a range of departments, such as: product management, research & development and service.

Your Tasks
- Works with our customers, partners and our sales representatives to understand the requirements of sales projects thereby providing the appropriate technical and application support to ensure all objectives are met for the EMEA market
- Analyzing customer needs and matching customer requirements with Schaffner Power Quality solutions such as passive and active harmonic filters and sine wave filters
- Lead the technical pre-sales relationship by providing guidance on technical architecture, demonstration of products, mitigating technical concerns or obstacles, and building customer trust
- Provide technical support to the sales force and product management teams in the areas of product specification, cost analysis, customer support, quality assurance and review of new applications
- Technical tracking and monitoring of sales projects
- Provide important market and customer feedback for product improvements and new product development
- Develop technical presentations and present product and application support as well as training to customers, external sales channels, and internal teams



Your Profile
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Technical knowledge in the field of power electronics and/or power quality is an advantage
- 3+ years of practical experience as a sales and application engineer or similar in an international industrial sector
- Proven professional background in direct customer contact with relevant experience in the areas of tech-support
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends
- Independent ability to analyse and judge well as willingness to take on responsibility
- Ability to lead-self through time management, organization, and prioritizing tasks
- Proven ability to guide, mentor and provide technical advice to colleagues, representatives and clients
- Willingness to travel (ca. 20% - EMEA countries)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
