EICC Electronic Industry Code of Conduct
Schaffner has adopted the EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition) Electronic Industry Code of Conduct and is committed to its implementation in all Schaffner companies to ensure that working conditions in our supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible.
UN Glocal Compact
The United Nations Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
Schaffner has joined the UN Global Compact initiative, which means that Schaffner has entered into the obligation to live up to the ten principles and to issue an annual Communication on Progress (COP), a public disclosure to stakeholders, communicating progress made in implementing the ten principles.
Schaffner Conflict Minerals Policy
There has been increased awareness of human right violations in the mining of certain minerals (Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten and Gold) from a location described as the “Conflict Region” which is situated in the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries.
Schaffner supports the Conflict Minerals Act such that we do not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups through mining or mineral trading in the DRC and adjoining countries.
